I’ve decided to take on the big kahuna…
In Scrapbooking that means sticking to a Project 365. If you haven’t heard of it, the idea is simple – record and document your life on a daily basis for an entire year.
But in execution…it can be difficult. Taking, tracking and journalling 365 pictures, then having to incorporate them all into layouts is a bit scary!
I love that MemoryWorks is coming out with their Simple Stories system. It’s perfect timing for this project! And since the whole system makes it easier and quicker to create really beautiful layouts, I’m feeling pretty confident that I can get it done.
So far I’ve got a little list of photos I’d like to take. Once a month I’m going to incorporate a very creative self portrait into the project. I’m thinking about tying in some themes too, like the growth of my kids against a wall and the changes in the park (trees, water level, flowers).
I’ve linked my Flickr account to the right so you can follow the photos I’m taking. Once I have the Simple Stories “Life Documented” kit in hand, I’ll start posting my weekly layouts!
I’d love to hear if you’re taking on the project too! It’s an amazing way to document a year in your life – so often the little daily tasks get lost in the scuffle. But those moments are what make you, you!
An entirely new way of documenting your memories!
Scrapbooking for everyone – from the creatively challenged to the long time hobbyist short on time. The new MemoryWorks Simple Stories system and the first kit, Life Documented, was designed to help you beautifully and quickly document your life without needing adhesives, cropping, expensive embellishments or tons of time.
Set to release mid-January 2010!

Here I sit, brainstorming and designing my new blog, with my two year old draped across my lap…snoring. Not that this is unusual for us moms. I think I speak for most of us when I proudly claim I can do just about anything with one hand!
Several months ago I began as an Independent Consultant with an amazing company. I had some pretty lofty dreams before starting – parties and crops booked for every week, tons of repeat customers and nurturing my own hobby. With two toddler daughters (redheads to boot!) my business looks much different than I would have imagined.
No taking the Scrapbook World by storm…No cornering the Product Market in my local area…I did not become the Technique Class Queen.
Nope. Just hectic days spent with my girls by my side, and on my lap, and in my face, and clinging to my legs. And I swear the only way I survive each week is by taking quiet time interludes to my scrap table – “Mommy’s Time Out” as my three year old likes to call it.
